Jim Brown

Jim Brown is the President and Shareholder of James E. Brown & Associates, P.C. which he founded in 1993.

Jim specializes in the formation of business entities, creditor representation in bankruptcy, and complex real estate and commercial transactions. He fuels his practice with an unyielding devotion to putting the client first.

He received his J.D. in 1974 from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, where he was admitted to the Order of St. Ives legal honorary society and received numerous scholarships and awards. He relishes the hands-on practice of law and working directly with his clients.

He has advocated for the Colorado Coalition of Hearing-Impaired Citizens and The Listen Foundation and has offered pro bono debtor representation in U.S. bankruptcy courts.

Jim has been recognized by Who’s Who in American Law, rated as ‘AV Preeminent’ by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been distinguished as a Colorado Super Lawyer since 2006.

Jim is a self-taught musician, active participant in local government, and welcomed university guest lecturer.
